For some reason Kennedy seems to love our fireplace lately. She uses it has a seat and a place to play with her toys. I am going to have to find a way to keep her away from it, in the event that we use it this winter!!
She keeps pulling off my babyproofing fireplace guards, so I put a rug up there... Do you think it looks dumb?

No, I don't think it looks dumb. It is an attractive rug and looks very plush. If it keeps Little Bit from getting hurt, do it!!
I think it looks fine. She has her own little stage! Just as long as you can keep her from it if you do decide to use it during the winter.
