blocks

We bought Kennedy these stacking blocks and she loves to knock them over.

Bubbles

We had fun blowing bubbles the other day, the first time Kennedy had seen them. She seemed to like watching them blow by and trying to catch them.

Memorial Day

This past weekend was fun. We didn't do too much on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday we went to Wilmington for the day. We started our day at the Cape Fear museum of History and Science. It was neat to see the history of the area we are now living. We were at the museum for a few hours and then went to the riverwalk/ Chandlers Warf. It is a historic area of Wilmington, with old cobblestone streets. There are lots of shops and restaurants in that area, but we spent most of our time walking along the water. It was a beautiful day. We will definitely plan more day trips there.

pulling up

Well, Kennedy is now pulling herself up to a standing position. For a while she was able to only get herself on her knees, but now she is all the way up. It is only a matter of time before she is cruising around here!! I put a babyproofing cushion on the fireplace the other day, but I think it is time to get them for the tables in the "man cave" as well. Yesterday she crawled in there and pulled up on the couch. If I had not stood behind her she would have cracked her head on the edge of the glass table, so i think it is wise to go ahead and buy them.

going backwards

I am going to start posting photos from Kennedy's early days, hopefully catching up to the current days. Its hard to believe she is as many weeks old, as I was pregnant with her... 41 weeks tomorrow.

its been a while...

Things here have been pretty uneventful lately. I have started thinking about kennedy's first birthday quite a bit, and it looks like we will be going home in June so I am hoping to get everything together then, so I don't have to bring it all with me in August.
The first weekend in May we went to visit my cousin Yvette and her husband Nick, their son was born the same day as Kennedy, so it was great to see them together. We had a really nice time.

Kennedy is crawling very fast now, she gets around and in to things very quickly. She loves to try and eat the dogs food, it is all I can do to keep her out of it throughout the day.

We have made great strides lately with Kennedy's napping and going to bed. Amy suggested the cry it out method, and although it was hard at first, she really seems to be getting it. she will usually cry for a very short time and then goes right to sleep, it is so nice!

Attached are a few recent pictures...
