our favorite things
I just received these clips that I ordered for Kennedy and I absolutely love them! I am always searching for ways to control her hair and in addition to her "blooming bows" headbands, these are another favorite. They are called "no slippy hair clippys" and work amazingly well in her hair! I need to get them in every color and style! As you can see I dont get out much, so I get excited over the smallest things these days!
other than that I thought I would mark some of Kennedy's favorite things these days, for your knowledge and for my memory down the road:
1. she loves books, her favorite seems to be her "taggies" book and her baby einstein "what floats"
2. balls, she has been playing with the ball pit we bought for her at christmas and loves to pick up the balls and let them roll around the room. she also loves to play with balls that light up and the ones from fisher price with the different texture fabrics on them.
3. her jumper, thank God for that thing, whoever came up with those is a genious. Some days that is all she wants to do, we have an active one on our hands, I dont know what we will do when she starts crawling and then walking!
4. anything with buttons that lights up and makes noise. she has a v-tek phone and laptop and loves them both. she will push the buttons for what seems like hours making them light up and sing songs.
5. the shows "my friends tigger and pooh" and " mickey mouse clubhouse". all things say not to let them watch tv right now but I am a believer in anything in moderation is ok. these shows are a lifesaver when she is tired and fighting sleep. we cuddle up and let her face the tv and after about 10 minutes she is out!
Well I better get back to work!

sick sick sick and scary!
It has been a while since I have posted anything, it has been a crazy week. I was sick most of the week, still am actually, and was working like crazy. Some nights I worked until 10 or 11, hopefully that will not become a routine... I tried so hard to stay away from Kennedy since I was sick, but of course she got it. Last night she was very sleepy so despite our issues getting her to sleep on her own this week she went to bed no problem. I went and checked on her because the past few nights she has been waking up after about 15 minutes and then won't let you go (so she has slept with us the past few nights:( ) anyways, I went and checked on her and noticed her breathing very heavy, much heavier than she has in the past, even with the breathing problems she had before. So as expected she wakes up about an hour later. I picked her up and she fell back to sleep right away, but again her breathing was very strange. She kept breathing very irregularly and then would wake up screaming and doing this "barking" cough. I was SCARED! we called the doctor and he said it was probably croup and gave us some suggestions on things we could do to help, but unfortunately they were just temporary relief. Pete and I took turns throughout the night staying up with her to make sure she was OK. I took her to the doctor today (its so nice, our doctor is open 7 days a week) and he said she definitely has croup and prescribed some steroids for her to take for the next few days. She is doing pretty well with being sick, although she doesn't want to eat anything so that is making it a bit challenging to keep her fluids up. I just hope this will pass quickly and we will be back to a baby who is teething and not both sick and teething! (another tooth broke through the other day, so now she has 2 teeth)
Hopefully I will be able to post again more often, I have some photos on the camera that I am hoping to post as well.
